What is OrgGuard?
Section titled “What is OrgGuard?”OrgGuard is a Salesforce managed package that discovers, monitors, and governs operational assets across your org — including certificates, Connected Apps, Auth Providers, Named Credentials, External Credentials, and scheduled Apex jobs. It applies governance policies to detect expiring assets, inactive job owners, consecutive failures, and configuration drift before they cause outages.
What OrgGuard Does
Section titled “What OrgGuard Does”- Discovers auth assets and scheduled jobs automatically across your Salesforce org
- Monitors expiration dates, job health, ownership, and configuration changes
- Alerts owners and admins via email when policies are violated
- Tracks findings through a lifecycle: Open, Acknowledged, Resolved, Suppressed
- Reports on coverage, inventory metrics, and scan history
- Maps dependencies — shows which Named Credentials, the Identity Provider, SAML SSO configs, Outbound Messages, and Connected-App JWT bearer flows break when a certificate expires. Learn more.
What OrgGuard Does NOT Do
Section titled “What OrgGuard Does NOT Do”- Does not store or expose secrets, private keys, or credentials
- Does not modify your assets or reschedule jobs — it is read-only
- Keeps your business data in your tenant (only the standard LMA license metadata is synchronized via Salesforce’s own infrastructure)
- Does not discover certificates or credentials outside the Salesforce Platform
